“Chosen Instruments” Youth Bootcamp

The “Chosen Instruments” Youth Bootcamp serves as a powerful catalyst, intentionally designed to disrupt the daily monotony of life in displacement and replace it with a high-energy environment of growth. By removing teenagers from their standard routines, the bootcamp creates a “sacred space” where they can focus entirely on self-discovery and the exploration of their God-given potential. This intensive format allows for a depth of engagement that the traditional classroom cannot always accommodate, using immersive workshops and team challenges to ignite a sense of individual purpose. It is here that many students first begin to see themselves not as victims of circumstance, but as “chosen instruments” capable of making a profound impact on their communities.

Beyond personal discovery, the program is a rigorous incubator for leadership and communal responsibility. Through collaborative exercises and mentorship, participants are pushed to develop the soft skills necessary for influence: effective communication, strategic problem-solving, and emotional resilience. This weekend experience is more than just a retreat; it is a strategic investment in the future of the refugee community, empowering young people to take ownership of their lives and lead others with integrity and vision. By the end of the bootcamp, these students return to their daily lives with a renewed sense of dignity and a practical roadmap for how to exercise their leadership in the real world.

Forging Leaders of Tomorrow

Throughout the bootcamp, students tackle collaborative challenges, participate in conflict-resolution workshops, and engage in deep spiritual reflections. They learn what it means to lead with integrity, serve with humility, and act as positive influencers within their own peer groups and the wider refugee community.

The transformation we see over these intensive weekends is incredible. Students who arrived quiet and unsure leave with a renewed sense of confidence, ready to take ownership of their actions and serve as role models for the younger primary students at MRLC.

We do not just see refugees; we see future leaders, innovators, and chosen instruments ready to bring light to their communities.

How Your Help is Needed

These impactful bootcamps require significant logistical support. We need sponsors to cover the costs of meals, materials, and venue use, as well as adult mentors willing to spend a weekend guiding and encouraging these incredible young leaders.
