For many of our students, MRLC is their very first experience in a formal classroom. Our core academic curriculum focuses heavily on essential subjects: Mathematics, English, and Science. We tailor our teaching methods to bridge learning gaps quickly, ensuring that every child builds the confidence and literacy required to navigate the modern world. We don’t just teach students how to pass tests; we teach them how to love learning.
Nurturing Character and Faith
Academic excellence is only one half of the equation; mastering one’s own character is the other. Spiritual formation is the heartbeat of MRLC. Rooted in the Word of God, we integrate daily Bible study, life lessons, and character-building exercises into our classrooms. By actively teaching core values like compassion, integrity, and discipline, we help our students build a strong moral compass that will guide them through life’s toughest challenges.
Equipping Youth for the Future
As our refugee youth transition into their teenage years, the question of “What comes next?” becomes critical. Our Skill Development program is specifically designed for our secondary-level students. We offer vocational training, digital literacy, and practical life skills workshops. By bridging the gap between standard academics and real-world realities, we ensure our graduates are fully capable, confident, and ready to become positive contributors to society.
Caring for the Community
A child cannot focus on learning if they are hungry or if their family is in deep distress. We recognize that our students are part of a broader, marginalized community facing severe hardships. Our Social Welfare initiatives provide a vital safety net. From emergency food distributions to basic family support, we strive to stabilize the home environment so that our children have the peace of mind they need to thrive in the classroom.
